Communicating With Teachers of Record
For successful instructional support, it is vital for Fullmind Educators to remain in communication with the student’s Teacher of Record (TOR) throughout the entire duration of the assignment. Not all teaching assignments will have a TOR associated, 1:1 assignments for credit bearing courses will typically have a TOR attached. Alternatively, the district/school may request that the TOR not be contacted, allowing the Fullmind educator to provide all lesson planning, materials, and work assignments for the course instead.
View the level of TOR instructional support from the course details page:
How to find and message the TOR for a course
Go to the Courses tab, and click on the TORs name under the Related TOR column (click the filter button and search for the student name filter to narrow search results). Simply click on the TOR's name to message them directly. You may also check the How to Send Messages and Attachments to TORs article for step-by-step instructions.
Educators should reach out to the TOR via the LMS if the assignment lists a TOR by using the messaging system. If the TOR is not responsive, please contact customersupport@fullmindlearning.com to request assistance with reaching out to the school district to establish TOR contact.
Initial Communication Outreach
Educators must reach out to the TOR or POC via LMS Message within 24 hours of receiving a confirmation email.
If you engage in communication with any school staff via personal email, please keep all emails for future reference in case of a request by our school partners.
If an Educator is having difficulty messaging the POC/TOR, please email customersupport@fullmindlearning.com as soon as possible.
Ongoing Communication Touch base
Throughout an assignment, Educators are responsible for reaching out to the students’ Teacher of Record at least once each week.
Weekly correspondence should include:
- Ask if there is any additional content or materials they'd like to be covered during the Fullmind session(s).
- Feedback on student progress (mastery and work habits).
- Submission of completed assignments and requests for any upcoming assignments or assessments to be completed by the student.
